Eating For Me

Sorry, faithful readers, for the lack of post.  Every now and then I get discouraged, but today I looked and saw that I had a comment from a faithful and supportive reader "and I knews there was a God."

Anyway, here is another one of my old panel strips from when I was trying to get my comic published.  I thought it was pretty cute.  If you continue to read this comic you will see that Morgan, the mother, doesn't normally say much during her pregnancy stages.  This is one of very few speaking parts for her.  Normally, she is the straight man for her baby sister, Kerri, and Solomon.  It's funny how that worked out.  It's not like when I envisioned the idea that I though, "I don't think that I'll have mommy say much".  Nope, it just sort of worked out that way.  I wonder if that will change much once the children are here.

Slave Labor

I'm not a parent (just an uncle), but growing up I honestly believed that this was how parent's thought. I believed that they thought of kids as free manual labor.  Someone to do the dishes, take out the trash, clean the house.  

Go ahead, you can admit it.

Really?

Kerri is so cute.  She totally says things without speaking.  It is like having a kid big child.  When I came up with this concept I really exaggerated her abs more then I needed to to make the joke.  You can count that to being a rookie cartoonist.  When I revisit this, I will just make her stomach a regular flatness.  The message still comes across.  

Plus, this comic should hit home with a lot of people.  Everybody knows that one person who is as thin as a pole and has the nerve to say that they need to lose weight.  Really?

A Step Behind

Ever notice how pregnant women don't look so from the back.  The same can be true about some fat people.  You know the ones that carry their fat in the front, like a prego.  I was slowly falling into that category, what with my pregnant belly and man boobs (but I digress).  In this panel of @Home (I might go back to Triplets), Solomon tries to pay his wife a complement, but I don't think she see it that way at all.  I'm thinking that it's is kind of hard to compliment a pregnant woman.

Sisters

I really thought that I could make Triplets, not titled @Home, work.  It was kind of a hit and miss thing in college, but that can be said about anything.  I thought, and still do, that it can be a hit.  It is unique and it can last for a long, long time.  I like the dynamic siblings Morgan and Kerri.  This scene where Kerri helps big sister Morgan with laundry while asking if she have her blue jeans is cute to me.  You can tell that Kerri is use to getting what she wants and has always like borrowing her sisters clothes.  You can also see in Morgan's face that she is use to it and a little annoyed that it is still going on.

See If Anybody Salutes

Okay, so I just happened to be on here and found out that people are actually reading my blog.  How cool.  So, I can't let my public down right?  So, here is the deal.  I have decided to post more of my Triple Comics and see if people come and read.  It's the whole flag up the flag pole...see if anyone salutes mentality.  

This are comics that I did ages ago, before I gave up on the whole idea of being a comic writer.  I had that dream deferred so many times, not only did and dry up like a raisin in the sun, but that bastard exploded!  Thank you, Langston Hughes.  So, my new plan is to stop waiting for others to for fill my damn dream.  It's my dream.  I dreamt it, I need to make it come true my damn self.  So, earlier this week, while I was waiting for my new Corel Painter Software to come, I scanned a whole butt load of my comics onto my computer.  The idea was to revamp them, using my Corel Painter and Wacom tablet.  I figured it was not only be good practice with both systems, but I could refined them, bound them and sale the books my damn self, via ForgedWorks Studio.  

Who knows if it will happen, but all I can do is try.  I'm a cheap bastard, but I'm not afraid to believe in myself, or am I.
